Hudson Awning began fabricating sails of tall ships in the late 1800's. Today they create custom awnings and canopies for the nation's finest homes and businesses as they celebrate their 130th year. In 1881, Rutherford B. Hayes was President, Picasso was born, the American Red Cross was founded and Hudson Awning & Sign Co. was established.

The Prohibition era series “Boardwalk Empire” was the big winner in the television category, with wins including Best Television Series – Drama and Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Drama – Steve Buscemi.

Look for the upcoming HBO five hour mini-series, starring Kate Winslet. She plays the part, originally made famous by Joan Crawford, in the 1945 film which won her the Best Actress Oscar. Hudson recreated an entire set of 1940’s era awnings, which meant researching the fabrics, styles, frames and designs of that period.
